There are four flight training providers based at the Kapiti Coast Airport specialising in various types of training. Kapiti Heliworx – provides helicopter scenic flights for 1-4 passengers. Kapiti Heliworx provides a wide variety of scenic flights, ranging from local flights, over Kapiti Coast to the top of the South Island, and Marlborough Sounds. Along with the normal 12 standard seat arrangement, their aircraft can also have a 6 seat luxury leather interior installed in a few minutes for the charter market. Sounds Air – provides an aircraft charter service to any New Zealand location utilising Cessna Caravan aircraft. Air Chathams' principle base of operation is from Auckland International Airport, however has the ability to position aircraft to destinations within NZ to best meet the requirements of their charter clients. Air Chathams has a diverse fleet of aircraft available for group charter. Generally, normal car park opening hours are typically: The Long Term car park is secured and open during airline scheduled operating hours only. Vehicles without a valid parking ticket may be clamped or towed away at the vehicle owner's expense. The Long Term car park is locked each night – a flat fee of $8 per 24 hours applies. The Short Term car park fees are $1 for the first hour, $2 per hour thereafter to a maximum of $8 per 24 hours. Please read the payment instructions on the machines carefully.
